Townhouse Dreaming

Another amazing townhouse that I desperately want. And like the last, also in Grace Court. I think I have found my dream neighborhood. This facade is so beautiful. The Victorian detailing! The butcher's tiles in the kitchen! The green tiled fire place! those bathroom sinks! And the parquet flooring! Oh gosh!
A bargain at only $5.7 million.

Colour and Christmas

I absolutely LOVE this house featured in Lonny Magazine this month. The wall colours and art are amazing and the prints on the wallpaper, rugs and furniture are just stunning. The mixture of old and new is wonderful and the Christmas decorations are perfection.

Maximum Minimalism

Kanye West's New York loft adds about a million points to his cool factor (Personally, I am a big Kanye fan and I think the fact his house is unbelievably cool just makes me like him even more). The loft was designed by Claudio Silverstrin Architects, and that means the entire loft, the architecture, interior, lighting, one off furnishings and fixtures were all designed by Claudio Silverstrin Architects.
The loft has no 'rooms' as such. The 200 square meter home is one continuous space, loosely divided with large solid objects. It features two gigantic stone structures, one, the kitchen/bar unit, the other an enormous bath/basin unit. All finishes are in warm, neutral tones which make the home more welcoming. The main finishes used are French limestone and Pear wood.
I think this home is so incredibly elegant and beautiful, kudos to Kanye for his excellent taste.

Hey Hayon!

Jaime Hayon, of Hayon Studio, is a Spanish designer, and one of my favorites. His works spans from product design to exhibition spaces and interiors. A lot of his work is a sleek contemporary take on Louis XVI style and uses bold, block colors.
If you complied all his interiors you'd end up with a rough idea of what my hypothetical dream house will look like.

Octium Jewelry (Kuwait)Faberge Salon (Switzerland)

One of my favorite pieces by Hayon is Swarovski Sparkle Shady, a flexible, versatile light feature with a skin encrusted with Swarovski crystals, allowing it to sparkle and shine even when not lit.

" ! " Moments.

Nendo is a design company with offices in Milan and Tokyo. They dabble is everything from interior design and architecture to visual merchandising, from fine art to product and graphic design. Everything they do is simply amazing.

I love their concept statement:

"Giving people a small " ! " moment.
There are so many small " ! " moments hidden in our everyday.

But we don’t recognize them.
and even when we do recognize them,we tend to unconsciously reset our
minds and forget what we’ve seen.
But we believe these small " ! " moments are what make our days so
interesting, so rich.
That’s why we want to reconstitute the everyday by collecting and
reshaping them into something that’s easy to understand.
We’d like the people who’ve encountered Nendo’s designs to feel these

small " ! " moments intuitively.
That’s nendo’s job."

It so perfectly sums them up.

Here are some of my favorite things they've done
