Neon Lights

Neon light art is the cat's pajamas.
Neon is traditionally thought of as tacky and sleazy in signage yet many artists are taking this medium and making it oh so hip.

Some of my favourites...

WWJC/DCD?

Jean-Charles de Castelbajac.
Do i need to say anything more?

Well, for those of you that are unfamiliar he is a fashion designer famous for his extravagant and avant garde creations. (You may recall his kermit the frog jacket worn by Lady Gaga.)

His latest collection features Bambi and cathedral window-esque patterns.
Ah-mazing.

From Sea to Shining Sea.

Happy 4th of July everyone. An excuse to celebrate all things American, because red, white and blue really are great colours.

Catherine Malandrino's 'flag dress' is the epitome of stylish patriotism. She presented her stars and stripes inspired collection in New York in Feburary 2001 and it gained huge populairty post 9/11.
Last year she re-launched the 'flag dress' as her label celebrated 10 years.

Those Crazy stylists..

Found this hilarious site. Slightly mocking interior stylists and some of the ridiculous props they use to sell us sofas and bedding. Pictures from catalogs are uploaded with text added by the fictional people who live in the catalogs, 'Gary' and 'Elaine'.

Catalog Living- 'A look into the exciting lives of the people who live in your catalogs.'

'Oh that? That's my Wish Plant. It's where i clip pictures of people who Iwant dead.'
